Byrd get's lumped again

Chris Byrd got banged up again last night when he got TKO'ed in the 11th by up and coming Heavyweight Alexander Povetkin (14-0, 11 knockouts). I think it's time for Bye Bye Byrdie at this point. The cat has no power, no marketing appeal (was this fight even on TV), and seems like his bread and butter trait, speed, is not there anymore either. Of course though these guys are always stubborn and want to go out on their own terms. Here is a classic post fight quote from the Byrd man, "I've got to lose to an American before I retire," Byrd said. "But he (Povetkin) is a good one, he will win the title. I won two titles, so I'm not jealous."

You have to lose to an American, what for? But if you insist then set up a fight with Hasim Rahman and get lumped one mo time.
