Lumpy New Years to all! Your boy Larry Lump is about to get his groove on tonight so don't bother me tomorrow when I will be paying the price.
I didn't get to see it but sounds like the UFC had a good card on Saturday night. Chuck Liddell showed he still got some fight left as he beat Wanderlei Silva in an all out slug fest. Surprisingly Matt Hughes had to submit in the second round against Georges St. Pierre. Like I said I didn't see the dukes so it's pointless for me to comment. Congrats to Moose for going 10-0. As you may recall he picked Brian Minto over Byron “The Bear” Polley. Minto scored a first round KO against "The Cub" to win the WBA Fedecentro Heavyweight (WTF??) Championship. Which brings me to another random thought. Brian Minto beats Vinny Maddalone TWICE and yet Vinny gets the fight with Holyfield, Holyfield beats him, then gets a title shot. Seems like Minto should of gotten the chance to fight Holyfield who he probably would of beaten, then he might of gotten a REAL title shot instead of fighting another chooch fighter, for another chooch belt, in the boxing mecca of Chester, WV. Anyways here are the rest of the weekend results. Be careful tonight kids!

Was big Nino Benvenuti as great as they say? I know he had classic fights with Griffith but I think most of his bouts weree in the cozy confines of Italia. 'Pinion?
Nino was the greatest boxer/champ of his time. All the experts say so. Look it up!
