I'm posting tonight because I am off to sunny Chicago tomorrow for a few days to take care of a little biz'nis. Just watched the last Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 and I am ready for them to finally get it on. Both are so confident that they are going to prevail, I know who I want to win, but all the stars and planets are going to have to be aligned for it to happen.
This weekend Antonio Tarver and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. both won. They have probably put themselves in a very good position for some big paydays.
On a more somber note the MMA industry had it's first recorded death this weekend when Sam Vasquez of Houston died from injuries sustained in mixed martial arts competition 6 weeks ago in Texas. MMA can no longer claim that they are the only combat sport to never have a fatality.
This is the exact type of ammo politicians would love to use to ban the sport. However, even with this death MMA has had a very good track record of safety. There have been way more deaths and life threatening injuries in sports such as boxing, football, and even motor sports. There can never be enough safety measures put into place and I am sure more will get added after all the facts get reviewed.
That's all for today folks, stay warm this week. Also a new poll has been posted, who do you think is going to win next weekends fight? Let Lump know!

Always the place to be Wump when we have dead people. Give us more. Let's keep these so-called "sports" entertaining.
Any news on the ladies? Do they have a fight league? Do they do "Ultimate"? Mud wrestling? I'm looking for exposure stuff.
Why do you feel all things must fall right for your guy to win. What are the keys in this fight? I respect your insight.
Uncle Floyd is fast & powerful. He's the MAN!
Yo Mel the Perv. Only "famous" woman boxer right now is Laila Ali, daughter of the one and only Cassius Clay. She is 24-0 with 21 KO's. Problem is there is no one really decent out there to compete against her, so she has fought all bumbs, or should I say bumbettes.
Dear Andy,
Ahh grasshopper, Sinsai Lump Lump has a lot to teach you young grasshopper.
Check back on Friday for my reason and my pick. Until then Wax on Wax off Andy Son.
