De Lay Hoya vs. Steve Forbes Prediction-Catching up with Iron Mike Tyson-Weekend Boxing Schedule

Oscar De La Hoya's 3 fight farewell tour kicks off tomorrow night in Carson California where he will fight Steve Forbes, another Contender Contestant being fed to the wolves. Listen, anything can happen, just ask Buster Douglas, but this isn't going to be one of those times my friends. Oscar by KO. The "exotic", as Moose would say, is that he does it in under 6 rounds.

Anyone watch E:60 on ESPN Tuesday night? They had a good interview with Iron Mike who is chilling in his million dollar home out in Vegas of all places. This guys owes the government millions of dollars and he still has a dope crib, phat rides, and still runs around with an entourage. The sad part though is he really looks like a defeated man who is fighting demons every day. But man when they showed clips of Mike back in the day it really reminded me what a force he was. That body shot to uppercut combo took out so many fighters, classic stuff. He also said there is no way in hell he is getting back in the ring with Holyfield of anyone else, he is done. Mike was saying that he gets up to 250K just to shake hands and make appearances now and then, not a bad gig. The fact that he is probably still the most popular heavyweight for whatever reasons good or bad shows how weak the heavyweight division is right now.
Here is part of the interview if you missed it:

And last but not least here is your weekend boxing schedule:

Moose Droppings:

Bet the house!

Tomorrow night in Oxnard with the prelim to the big on, Viscious Ortiz, a 21 year old animal takes on old man Dario Esalas, a regular "fill-in" for no shows, who was almost pounded to death in his last fight earlier in the year. This bum has LOST 11 of his last 14 and is a candidate for major brain damage if Viscious gets mad.

We followed him earlier this week in West LA, one of the drogas capitals in California. The old Colombian just paased them by, probably because of senility. This is a joke of a match.

Bet "no contest", varity of fuilds oozing from numerous orifices, and brain damage/death within 16 days of this match. (Brain damage only has to be reported by the medical authorities).

Hang em' up Essie befor you get messy.

Ortiz by KO-

"Vicious" Victor Ortiz of Oxnard was added to this event just this week and his opponent in a scheduled 10-round welterweight fight was veteran Dairo Esalas of Colombia.

Esalas had that deer-in-the-headlights look early and appeared like he had no intention of engaging Ortiz. But after Ortiz dropped Esalas in the third round, Esalas got off the canvas and floored Ortiz seconds later.

However, that was the only real look Esalas had at the fight. He was dropped again in the fourth round and again, for the last time, in the fifth and was counted out at 2:31 of the round.

Ortiz is now 21-1-1 with 16 knockouts. Esalas is 31-13."

How Ortiz got knocked down, I will never know, but he did dump his opponent twice before the cold ending. Pus, snot & blood oozed along with fast medical attention examing the twitches & itches of the old guy. Most books paid out at 4,100 to one, just to get rid of the swarming bettors who knew that Esalas had suffered separation in organs of the head. Death is not out of the question yet, but with drooling, the shakes and slurred speech, that was enough for the payout.
