Cotto wins by TKO, another Contender get's destroyed, it's deja vu all over again

Well if you watched the Larry Lump/Moose interview on Friday you would of known that Cotto by TKO was a lock. The fight went EXACTLY as L Cubed Predicted. By the end of the 5th the ringside Doc had enough and stopped the fight. Cotto TKO in 5. So congrats Alfonso Gomez you have also made the list of Pretenders. Shall I refresh your memory on the results of fighters from the Contender TV showed when they stepped up to top 10 fighters?

2. Anthony Bosante-Lost by Unanimous decision to John Duddy
3. David Banks- Almost gets decapitated and lands in the second row after being KO'ed by Edison Miranda in the 3rd.

Enough is enough already, these guys have not made it to the big time for a reason, they're not that good!

OK so the Moose Man had it a little harder this weekend. His boy Phlegm..oops I mean Glen Johnson fought pretty good even though he lost a 12 round decision to Chad Dawson. However the crowd was booing the result so it seems like some controversy took place. If you recall Da Moose said three bodily fluids would of been release by Johnson. It's very hard to confirm these facts because mainstream media tends to shy away from this kind of business, but I would not be surprised if Glen was able to keep his bowels under control.

Well, heading out to FLA tomorrow but I just needed to gloat before I hit the friendly skies. Have a good week my Lumpy Posse!!!

Very Busy Boxing Weekend-EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH DA MOOSE

Classic Lump Wednesday

Another cold crappy day in the Tri-State Area. Spring ever gonna show around here? Larry Lump hates the cold! OK so check this lump out from a few years back. Brian Minto vs. Vinny Maddalone I. Minto was down in the first and Maddalone was up on all three score cards going into the 10th round. The slo mo gives a good view of "da shot". They had a rematch a year later and Vinny lost by TKO in the 7th. The Moose Man loved Vinny.

Yawwwn, Larry Lump is one tired mofo...word to big bird. Not much to yap about today except I am looking forward to the Cotto-Gomez fight next weekend. Cotto beats the crap out of Gomez, calls out Mayweather after the fight, and they make this fight happen later this fall.

Who the hell wants to see another Hatton-Mayweather fight, crap, I don't even want to see another Mayweather-De La Hoya fight until Floyd fights Cotto first.
So "The Iceman" Chucky Liddell was dissin' Kimbo Slice pretty good, and you know what, Chuck is right in everything he says. I like watching Kimbo fight but the man has done nothing, nada, zilch, yet in the world of MMA. I'm not saying that one day he will, just like I still think Brock Lesnar has a future in MMA, but as of now, all he has fought is powder puffs. Check out the article here.

UFC Fight Night-Classic Lump Wednesday-Assorted Rants

Don't bust my chops. I know I didn't post on Monday. Besides the weekend results I had nothin' on my mind so I let it slide like a 6 pack of white castle burgers. I'm starting to tap out my Classic Lump database so if there are any oldies but goodies you want to see again, drop your boy Larry a line and I will dig them up. This week I found a highlight reel of Quinton Rampage Jackson. This guy is a real character, but he has the skills to back it up. He has a must see fight against Forrest Griffen coming up later this year.

Tonight UFC Fight Night 13 takes place on SpikeTv at 7pm. The headliner is Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon. After the fights the premier of Ultimate Fighter 7 takes place. Coaches this year are the above mentioned Jackson and Griffen. Should be a good season!

Anyone see the Mayweather "fight" at Wrestlemania? It was weak weak weak. There was more excitement when the fireworks show went out of control and landed into the crowd (that one was not planned). Luckily no one was injured.

Looks like the discussed Roy Jones Jr. vs. Anderson Silva boxing match ain't gonna happen. Big bad Dana White, President of the UFC, pulled ranked and said no way jose, don't even think about it. When some of the UFC superstar contracts start coming to an end you are going to see a mass exodus. UFC is not the only show in town these days, these fighters got options now.

Oh by the way I have been trying to snag a one on one interview with Da Moose for about two weeks now. That damn animal is evasive. I sneak up to him, Moose Munch in hand, and just as I am about to reach him he darts off, usually chasing fawns for a little Moose lovin (not a pretty sight). Don't worry though your boy L3 is still on the case!
