Da Lump Man goes 0-2 this week

Oh man Larry Lump chooched again on his pick last night. Sakio Bika scored an 8th Round TKO over Jaidon Codrington in what some people are already calling the fight of the year. It was a great, non-stop, grueling fight that at least proved one point made in my post yesterday. There is no need for camera tricks and music to make boxing better. Last nights Contender finale was filmed live and did not disappoint. If you did not see the fight, head over to ESPN for highlights. My observations yesterday were correct, Bika was a wild man with a style that left himself very vulnerable...however:
A. The boy can take a punch
B. He hits like a mule!
C. He was in great condition

Jaidon got caught up in going toe to toe when he should of been more patient and countered when Sakio kept his guard down. Anyways the fight was great, the first round was nuts.
Will either of these guys go on to be champs? Not too sure about that, but it brought back memories of the Gatti/Ward battles and goes to show that two "good" fighters with heart and an aggressive style are more exciting to watch than rope a dope defensive "champs" (not mentioning any names...Mayweather...ooops how did that slip out?). Hopefully we can get half of that action this weekend during the Cotto/Mosley fight. Larry Lump will have his pick for that one on Friday, and mark my words, he ain't going 0-3!
