Good morning my fellow Lumpers and Lumpettes (are there any Lumpettes out there?). Your boy Larry is draggin today! I hate the winter! Hope you guys caught the first episode of Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 last night on HBO. The pre-fight hype has officially begun. This show is a great marketing tool and there is no doubt it helped increase PPV sales for the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight. So they are back at it again and I have no problem with it. I think it's great and it will help increase interest from non boxing fans. Last night was pretty much the same formula as the last time. Floyd talking a ton of smack and bragging about how great and how rich he is. Hatton on the other hand is the peoples champ who trains in a beat up gym in the gritty city of Manchester England. All I got to say is please Ricky please beat the snot out of Floyd! I think he has a chance to do it as well, but that's for another day. Best line of the show last night was from Floyd's Uncle (and Trainer). He was asked if Floyd is so rich and famous what drives him to keep fighting? His Uncle came back and said "Why the F--K does Bill Gates still make 'dem computers?"
HBO had it's boxing after dark series on Sat. The fights were both pretty one sided but they did replay the Cotto-Mosley fight and I had the chance to really watch and score it. Bottom line in Larry's humble opinion, entertaining fight but Cotto won it pretty decisively. I ended up scoring is 117-114 Cotto. I gave Cotto 6 rounds, Mosley 3, and three rounds a draw (judges need to give out more 10-10 rounds). Not much to report on the UFC PPV, as predicted I heard it was pretty lame. Here are the weekend results for Boxing and MMA:

Hi Lumpie!
I'm not a Lumpette, but my name is Collette (close enough?). I don't like boxing at all because I don't like the element and all the participants are low-level humans.
But, I do like a great "roll in the sea" from time to time.
If a shark fights or encounters an octopus, who would win? Give me facts, Lump, not your 'pinions.
Collette-
If anyone can find sea animals fighting, is the Numpster. He once got me a video of a turtle ripping the guts out of a giraffe! Then the turtle took a dump on a WWE wrestler and bit his nose off.
A lot of gory lump-lump out there so watch out what you ask for.
Willy Here...
Just finished my second bowl of grits! While reading cousin lumps daily post and as usual he's a friggin' idiot.
Since when is this boy been able to to score a fight! And he had it for Cotto at a bigger win margin. Sometimes this kid wears his shades at night in the house.
On another note yeah Zab won a fight beating nobody in my opinion. Thsy should have just awarded him the vacant garbage title.
Willy Out!
Pump-
Where's the stuff on the Vargas-Mayorga brawl coming up? I come to youse for all the poop. This should be an 'entertainment Fight". With Don KIng involved, Vargas stating "he's tretiring" and El Matador considered an animal/nut job by many, this could be a laugher. Vargas got whupped by Moseley and both of these losers have lots of losses, so all they are fighting for is the kicks.
Since there is no way I'm laying out $$$$ for a King bout, give us the call Pump.
Yo Philly Poo,
You beat me to the "punch" on this one. I was going to write about it today. I totally agree with you, this is a one off fight. It has the potential to be a good brawl but neither of these guys are going anywhere in the division. No way Larry Lump is shelling out $45 clams for this one. My pick on Friday Philly Doo Doo.
