Like I mentioned a few posts back, my cousin Willy Lump Lump will be popping in now and then to discuss (get fired up) about the state of the fight game. These are Willy's opinions, not mine. Like I send we tend to disagree about almost everything. However BUMPnLUMP believes in free speech (plus Willy's momma Auntie May Lump would whoop my ass with ham hock if I didn't let her boy get a word in from time to time) So here we go, and in this corner.........
Hey Fight Fans, Southern Comfort Willy Lump here and I have a question for the true fight enthusiasts. WHY DOES ZAB JUDAH CONTINUE TO GET TITLE SHOTS?
Zab (35-5) fights again this weekend for the vacant IBC Jr. Middleweight World Championship Title, in vacation land the Caribbean Island of Turks & Caicos against Ryan Davis with a record of (20-6-2).
This is a battle of losers for a title. Has anyone noticed that Judah had lost 3 out of his last 5 fights? While one of these fights was a no contest, but is he deserving of a title shot? After doing some research on Ryan Davis, I also noticed that he also has lost 3 out his last 5 fights. Am I missing something here? Are there no other fighters available that have been winning fights that are deserving of this opportunity?
While Ryan Davis is not even ranked in the top 15 of the WBC, WBA, IBF, or WBO Judah is no higher ranked than 5 by the sanctioning bodies. I guess all I can chalk this up to is the IBC belt is nothing more than trash, I mean correct me if I am wrong here.
Now please don’t get me wrong, I do like Zab as a fighter, but he chokes in the big fights, you cannot be a great fighter and not win the big fights! Is he taking this fight against and unknown fighter in my book to just to be a title holder? If he wins that is…. if Ryan Davis is in any way a heavy handed brawler, this may not end favorable for Judah. His chin is historically suspect, and then the question will be where do you go from here.

WBA, IBF, WBC, IBC (Isn't that a root beer?). All of these "organizations" are a joke. I think the best ranking system is run by the Ring Magazine. You can find their ranking system here: http://www.thering-online.com/ringpages/ratings2.html
They actually show Judah as the 5th ranked Welterweight. The biggest comedy is the heavyweight division. Only one American fighter in the top 10 and I bet none of you Lumpers ever even heard of him. Ladies and gentleman I give you the 9th ranked heavyweight IN THE WORLD, the famous Tony Thompson. Larry Lump Lump asks who the hell is that?

Youse keep pushn Jaba-Du but he stinks & smells (no shoes)? He also is a low-low-blow specialist who made Uncle Floyd limp. I would like to see this mamaluke in the ring with the big Polak Galota who would smash his nuts.

Boxing died nearly 40 years ago. Today, its just entertainment, not a sport. Its a low-life, criminal, thug infested milleau (like the NBA). Face it, what legitimate sport would ever have old, retired boxers who have lost their last few bouts come out of retirement and box for a Champeenship? Where's the rankings? Only the number One contender should earn a title fight. Not old bums. But, if its promted correctly, its a sell-out and morons cheer. Ten "Leagues", ten belts, a joke.
I want to see a fight between Marciano & Cassius Clay, even though both are dead people.
